How to add a family member’s smartphone to SmartThings Find
You can let your family or friends use your smart devices, by inviting them to be members of your SmartThings account.
Inviting a member
You can share device locations with the invited user on SmartThings Find by inviting them to join SmartThings.
To invite members to SmartThings Find follow these steps:
Step 1.On SmartThings app tap on Life
Step 2. Select Find.
Step 3.Then Select "Members’ devices".
Step 4. Select "Invite member".
Step 5. Invite a member using two methods the first is "Send an invitation" and then enter the email used for their Samsung account.
Step 6. Next, tap Send. Once the user receives the invitation, they can accept it, and then they'll be good to go.
or "Use a QR code", once you selected the barcode will appear.
And the invitee can then scan the QR code on their phone.
Or by following these steps:
Step1. Tap the Favorites tap.
Step 2. Tap add (the Plus sign).
Step 3. Select Member.
Step 4. Invite a member using two methods the first is "Send an invitation" and then enter the email used for their Samsung account.
Step 5. Next, tap Send. Once the user receives the invitation, they can accept it, and then they'll be good to go.

Accept the invitation
To receive an invitation, the other user must have the SmartThings app installed on their phone and be signed into their Samsung account.
Once they receive the invitation they will see it as a notification, they can tap on it and select OK.
Or by following these steps:
Step1. Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines).
Step 2. Select Notification.
Step 3. A message will appear, to inform them of the invitation.
Step 4. They can tap the notice, and then tap Accept to be added as a member.
View or remove members
To view the members that you added to your SmartThings account or remove them you can follow these steps:
Step 1. Tap Favourites.
Step 2. Then tap the three horizontal dots (on the upper right of the screen).
Step 3. From the drop list select Manage My home.
Step 4. Select Members (to see the members that you added).
Step 5. Tap More options (the three vertical dots) and tap Remove members.
Step 6. Then select the members that you want to remove and selectrRemove again.
Step 7. Tap Remove to confirm. The member will now be removed from that location and won't be able to control any of its devices.
Note: Only the owner of the location can remove members.
