The Iraqi Ministry of Education and Samsung Electronics Levant entered into a collaboration, aiming to enhance and explore cooperation opportunities in digital transformation in education and youth empowerment.

The collaboration came forth through a proof of concept that was delivered by Samsung Electronics Levant professionals at the ministry’s premises, in the presence of Professor Dr. Muhammad Daye Al-Azawi, Deputy Minister of Education for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Hussein Sabri Al-Lami, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Affairs and Mr. Sangmin Kim, the president of Samsung Electronics Iraq.

The prototype demonstrates the capabilities of Samsung Smart Education products and solutions including interactive e-boards, Galaxy Tabs and Knox Manage platform, and how these solutions can contribute to the digitization of Iraq’s students' educational journeys.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Daye Al-Azawi, Deputy Minister of Education for Administrative Affairs appreciated the ministry’s strategic collaboration with Samsung Electronics Levant. He said: “This collaboration represents an important step in line with the Ministry of Education’s strategic vision, which is to digitize the Iraqi national curricula", stressing the importance of working side by side with Samsung to create engaging educational experiences for the students in Iraq.

From his side, Mr. Sangmin Kim, the President of Samsung Electronics Iraq, expressed his pride in this collaboration, stressing that it constitutes a fundamental pillar of innovation for education in the region, and he added, “Our cooperation with the Ministry of Education represents our unified commitment to developing transformative solutions that enable learning anywhere, and empowering future generations in the field of technology, which will benefit our societies."

The areas of the collaboration also include exchanging experiences and providing products and solutions that deliver a genuine turnkey solution for smart education.

The cooperative efforts will also focus on developing training programs specifically designed to hone the skills of the ministry’s educational staff and concerned personnel.
