What is the ideal temperature setting on my refrigerator?

It is important to set the temperature of your refrigerator and freezer so that you can preserve your food for optimum freshness and longevity. The recommended temperature setting for food storage is:

  • Fridge: +2 °C
  • Freezer: -18 °C

Please note: The optimal temperature setting of each compartment depends on the ambient temperature. The recommended temperature given above is based on the ambient temperature of 25°C.

How to adjust the temperature

  • Freezer

- Set the desired temperature between -15 °C and -23 °C by pressing the -Freezer button.

- The default setting is -19 °C, and each time you press the -Freezer button, the temperature changes and appears on the display.

  • Fridge

- Adjusts the desired temperature between 1 °C and 7 °C by pressing the Cooler button.

- The default setting is 3 °C and the temperature changes and appears on the display each time the Cooler button is pressed.

Note:

  • The temperature controls on some models are labeled "Freezer Temp." and Refrigerator "Refrigerator Temp.". However, they control the temperature in the same manner as the buttons described above.
  • When the desired temperature setting is displayed, do not touch the Refrigerator button again.

1.- Fridge indicator

  • Displays the current or desired temperature of the fridge.
  • The raindrop icon indicates that the Power Cool function is on.
  • The umbrella icon indicates that the Vacation function is on.

 

2.- Freezer indicator

  • Displays the current or desired temperature of the freezer.
  • The freeze icon indicates that the Power Freeze function is on.

 

3.-Door open indicator

  • This indicator blinks with an alarm if the door is left open for more than 2 minutes.

 

4.- Buttons

  • When the display is off, tap any button to wake up the display.
  • Use O to select the fridge or freezer and < or > to select the desired temperature or function for the selected compartment.
1 Step 1. Touch any button (<, O, or>) to activate the screen.

- This step may not apply to some models.

2 Step 2. Touch O to select the refrigerator or freezer.
  • The indicator of the selected compartment flashes.
  • The degrees Celsius symbol (C) does not blink.
3 Step 3. Touch to select the desired temperature or function.
  • Consult the table for the selection available for each compartment.
