Pros Both modes are amazing! In the folded mode it is small, light weight and one handable phone. When unfolded the crease is basically invisible and it feels like having a mini tablet with you. I really like that unlike other candy bar foldables the phone fits well in my pocket and actually offers more screen real estate and less black bars. I like the longer battery life and performance feels great so far! Using the translator and back camera for selfies is super cool Cons Bit sad that they removed the third camera The phone heats up a bit when charging which given the history is a bit of a concern.

I chose to upgrade to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 when I first laid sights on it. Watching the various display sizes that this device could offer is amazing, and there are new surprises with each day I use this phone. The quality does not fall behind either, with clear and detailed camera visuals, crisp high-definition displays, and fast processing speeds. My studying experience and gaming has been really elevated, and I'm happy to say I will be sticking with this phone I chose for a long time.

Im so glad I chose this phone! I've had nothing but great experiences with it, and I'm still learning things it can do every day. I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! Can't say enough about the form factor. Great purchase 10 out of 5 stars, I love it.

I chose this let go of my Ultra 23 because I have been wanting a fold forever. The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

I use my phone for basically everything. I read, surf the internet and play games. My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

The size and shape of this phone is unique and this is definitely the best Fold phone to date. The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

I have had the Fold 6 and thought moving to the Fold 7 was an evolution change, but moving to the Fold 8, wow! The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

I chose Samsung Galaxy Z fold 8 precisely because it's so handy. It feels perfect in my hands and in my pocket. I upgrade to new Samsung every year. This year I upgraded to fold 8 instead of S26 and I'm so glad that I did. It's best for viewing YouTube and Netflix. Choose between small screen and big screen as needed. a MUST buy.

I previously had the Z flip 5, which I have had now for three years. I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

While it took a brief adjustment period to get used to the shorter height, I chose this device because it delivers easily the best form factor available. It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

I think Samsung nailed it with the Fold8, the size, the hinge mechanism, the screen viewing ration when folded and unfolded, it is impressive and once you get used to it you can't go back to normal phones. Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

When I first tried out the fold 8 I was really impressed. The whole thing is just a beautiful piece of tech - unbelievably thin and light for everything it can do. I chose this phone because Samsung showed up with the best foldable form factor! I use it to read emails and look at work documents at the same time, and nothing really compares when having that at the same time, all in your pocket. I'm a really busy grad student who also has a full time job, so when travelling, having a phone that can actually keep up is important. Not to mention -- you get to leave your mini tablet at home. If you like gaming and productivity, this is the phone.

This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

I chose the galaxy z fold 8 and I don't regret it one bit. The keyboard is nice and wide making it hard to type incorrectly. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I chose the zfold 8 due to this new form size. I think it's an amazing new design that fits perfectly with how I use my phone.

I love the new design form, but videos of most social media apps, like Facebook, Instagram, Ticktock, YouTube, etc, are not formatted to fit the screen of this phone, legs and heads are half seen, regardless if it's titled horizontal or vertical. Samsung needs either to make some software adjustments or get in touch with the developers of the above apps so they can make the necessary changes, specially for the new screen format of this phone. Also it can definitely use larger battery., at least 6000 mAh, another important improvement is to get rid of the camera cutoff whole opening, especially in the inner display, it definitely causes problems.

i chose the Z fold8 because I love the form factor closed as well as open. I use my phone for personal use and content creation. I love being able to use the phone 2 different ways. Closed for when I wanna do something super quick and open for a much better social media scrolling experience. It's also the perfect size especially for someone with small hands. I also play some emulators on my phone and having it closed gives that Gameboy like handheld experience and using it open gives the DS experience. it's very classic with a modern twist. I am very happy with the purchase, I'm just sad that Samsung hasn't done a foldable this size sooner.

I chose to shake things up a bit and ditch the traditional candy bar phone for a short and stubby passport style foldable. It's been 3 days and I'm loving all the tweaks and customization available in the new operating system I wish that the phone had different camera placement and included a telephoto lens. I miss the old version of the inner display's selfie camera. A tad intrusive and I don't see any use case. The speaker placement could also be better next iteration because it does not provide stereo sound when in landscape viewing on the inner screen. I wish it was $250 cheaper and I could say it was a good value, but it is a solid device.

Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 – A Foldable That Finally Feels Like the Future The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 feels like the kind of smartphone that makes you rethink what a phone can actually be. What impressed me most is how Samsung has made the foldable experience feel more practical without losing the excitement of having a large screen in your pocket. The new design is a huge highlight. Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? It exists. Price? Also exists. Worth it? Absolutely, if you enjoy premium technology and making financially questionable decisions. 10/10. Would fold again. 📱

When started using this device, though I would definitely role back to the fold 7 or fold 8 ultra. But after started using, it became obvious that i will not role back. Inner display feels good for viewing videos and reading something. I chose to upgrade to next version. I sometimes experience lag or unresponsiveness in some applications like maps(front display), chrome keyboard and tabs unresponsive while in inner display. Apart from these issues overall experience is great. Battery life is too good when compared to previous version of folds.

I have been part of the Galaxy Z Fold family since the Fold 4. I have used the Fold 4, Fold 6, and now I’ve upgraded to the Z Fold 8 and I am genuinely amazed by the new form factor. The Z Fold 8 is incredibly slim and feels so much more comfortable to hold in the hand. The wider cover screen is also a major improvement, and it’s perfect for watching videos and everyday use without feeling cramped. I am really glad I chose the Z Fold 8. Samsung has once again impressed me with the Z Fold series. As always, the Z Fold never disappoints! I am loving it so far! I love the size of both displays, and I really like the size of the device in general. The passport type shape is really appealing to me and its been a dream to consume content on. The device is very responsive and I havent had any kind of slowdowns at all, everything is instant and smooth. The battery life is really good too! I like the new si-c battery, it lasts ages and I havent had any issues with it at all- plus it keeps the device sleek and thin. The device itself feels very sturdy, it's well made and I have no concerns of it breaking. The hinge feels very snappy and premium and I havent had any issues with it at all.

Straight of the box i thought what a cool phone. Easy to set up,had it next to my S24 and it picked my phone up instantly. The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

I chose a Galaxy fold 8 because the form factor is a breath of fresh air. I love the fact that the shorter slightly wider aspect ratio fits videos nearly perfectly even when folded. As an engineer myself I appreciate efficiency and the ergonomics combined with the aspect ratio is the best of all worlds. Whether it's scrolling on social media or watching a video it feels right. I've been switching back and forth between my old s24 ultra and this phone and the s24 ultra now feels too long. Definitely not for everyone but the fact that Samsung gives you the option is greatly appreciated. I do not see myself going back to a long slab phone.

As a Samsung loyalist for over 15 years, I’ve used every generation of foldables from the original Z Flip to the 7th gen. I was debating upgrading from the fold 7. Ultimately I chose to upgrade to the Fold 8 because the aspect ratio and the new design is amazing. It is the ultimate daily driver. I use my phone alot to watch movies, YouTube videos, and for reading. Reading on this phone is so comfortable on both the inner and outer displays. I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I love that videos take up the whole screen on the outer display and the brightness on this phone makes everything look sharper.

​I chose this device after much consideration, and I have been using it for a couple of days now with great satisfaction. The overall design, weight, in-hand feel, and ergonomics are fantastic. Both the cover display and the unfolded main screen look amazing and offer an incredible viewing experience. ​If I had to point out a few minor drawbacks, the placement of the heat dissipation feels a bit noticeable during heavy use, and I occasionally experience slight stuttering on a few specific apps. However, these are minor details compared to how good the rest of the phone is. Overall, it is an outstanding device and I highly recommend it.

After getting my wife a Fold 7, I've been totally amazed by these foldable phones. You get the best of both worlds – a regular phone on the outside and a tablet inside! When my S23 started slowing down and the battery was dying fast, I knew it was time for a Fold. I knew the Fold 8 was coming out, so I waited and watched prices for both the new one and the Fold 7. After snagging a sweet deal on the Fold 8, it was a no-brainer. This phone is everything I hoped for and more. It's super fast, holds a charge forever, and the inner display crease is barely there – you actually forget you have a tablet that folds in half! Seriously great, no regrets.

I chose to upgrade from a Pixel 9 Pro XL. I was able to get a great deal on it. Working with it closed is very comfortable and I tend to enjoy it over the 9. It will make other phones feel funny. Using the 9 pro, feels oversized and too skinny. Opening it up, it is perfect when doing multiple tasks. Samsung has done an amazing job with setting up gestures and commands to make multiple windows possible. Gaming on it, it feels good. I did get a conteoller but the screen size is perfect. I use moonlight and steam link to play pc games. Android gaming feels amazing as well. The only issue I've found so far, the power button. At the moment I have a dbrand case. The power button is difficult to push at times. I have it setup to open the camera by double pushing the power. I tend to fail the first couple times. It needs to extend a little bit.

I chose to upgrade from the Z fold 6 to the 8. I was very pleased with the 6 series and was reluctant to upgrade since the 6 series performed so well. I was surprised to find the Z fold 8 though lighter and more compact was actually the same size as the 6 when open and turned vertically. There was no perceived loss of screen size. I could stream and enjoy movies and apps with ease. The 8 series is user friendly. The picture and camera quality are exceptional. Style, sophistication, organization, and performance that does not disappoint. The Z fold 8 makes a statement without me having to utter a word. Experience it for yourself.

the perfect phone. I have had every model year of the Z Flip and several of the Z Fold. The Z Fold 8 is the perfect marriage of the two, and I chose it to replace my everyday use of the Flip. Within the first day, it became clear I wasn't going back to the Flip, which surprised me. I rarely used the cover screen on the Flip, although I had all the tools to do so. With the Fold 8, I use the front screen a lot and don't feel the need to open it every time I use it. And critical factor is that it fits in my pocket, which was a downfall with the previous Folds - too cumbersome for carrying. All in all, it's pretty perfect and I'm glad I chose it.

I pre ordered the Galaxy fold 8. I used it for around a week. The phone is great and the fold crease has diminished substantially. The screen quality was amazing and I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. I ended up returning it due to being worried of damaging it and being slightly paranoid about it not being dust resistant or having the inner screen get damaged accidentally. I say its almost there because it is "almost there." The phone is great but not having the best cameras is a big fault in a 1800 dollar phone. None the less I'm sure it will be a great phone for most people. The chose the Ultra 26 as a replacement and am more than happy!

I chose this phone because it was terrific for a teacher who needs time to unplug. I can open my phone, put on my headphones and unplug during my 10 minute lunch.

I chose fold 8 because of new form factor. It has an excellent inner screen for media viewing and multitasking. Cover screen is too short. Poor for messaging and viewing pages needing constant scroll. Text can be small. If you enlarge font, it makes the cover screen even less usable. Bottom line, this is a phone great for heavy media viewing and use unfolded. Not great for people that use it more folded Samsung should make a phone in between sizes of fold 8 and ultra. It will appeal to the masses
