How to troubleshoot using DTS

Last Update date : May 06. 2024

What is DTS?

DTS (Digital Theater Systems) is a type of surround sound technology similar to Dolby Digital. Both formats allow filmmakers to create immersive audio experiences by recording multiple channels of sound that can be played back in theaters and home theater systems. DTS compresses audio to about one-third the size of Dolby Digital, making it ideal for 5.1 channel audio outputs.

  • Refer to your product manual for specific details on compatibility and features.

Connecting DTS Devices:

Step 1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT port on your external device to the HDMI IN port on the soundbar.

Step 2. Use a digital optical audio cable to connect the DTS port on the soundbar to the corresponding port on your TV.

Step 3. Press the Source button on the soundbar or remote control, selecting either HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 depending on your setup.

Step 4. Once connected, the source will appear on the soundbar display panel, and audio playback will begin automatically.
