Why Edge screen requires 2 steps to unlock Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge(SM-G935FD)?

To give more information to users on lock screen, first lock screen shows notification messages and second screen after swiping require to input Pin/Pattern/Password for unlocking device. This is Common concept of devices based on Android OS 6.0.
