Post software update face software greyed out in Galaxy Note 8?

• According to the Google's new security policy through the latest software upgrade of Note8, Face recognition may not work properly after updating software on some limited Note8 devices that specific security policies like Mobile Device Management or Exchange Active Sync feature were applied.

 

• This is a normal operation by Google's new security policy to strengthen device security and at that time please set the device lock type by PIN, Pattern or Password. As Face recognition is less secure than Pattern, Pin, or Password, we recommend to use the Iris recognition, Fingerprint recognition, Pattern, Pin, or Password to lock the device.

 

Thus we do not recommend the usage of face recognition for the high security authentication applications.
