How to set Pattern Lock in Samsung Galaxy A7-2016(SM-A710FD)?

Your device allow you to set a pattern as an additional security measure. You can draw the pattern to unlock the device. Pattern lock is a medium security on your device.  

Navigate to Apps → Settings → Lock screen and security → Screen lock type → Pattern → Draw pattern → DONE

Pictorial representation of the above settings are as follows:

a). Tap on Apps icon from the Home screen.

b). Tap on Settings icon.

c). Select and tap on Lock screen and security settings.

d). Tap on Screen lock type.

e). Select and tap on Pattern lock.

f). Draw the Pattern you want to set to unlock the device.

g). Tap on Continue.

h). Draw the same Pattern again to confirm it.

i). Tap on Confirm.

j). Enter the Backup PIN in case you forget your unlock pattern.

k). Tap on Continue.

l). Enter the same Backup PIN again to confirm it.

m). Tap on Ok.

n). You can select the display options for notifications on the lock screen and then tap on Done.
