How to set Password Lock in Samsung Galaxy A5-2016(SM-A510FD)?

The most secure way to lock the Samsung Galaxy device is to assign a Password lock. Unlike a PIN, a password can contain numbers, symbols, and both upper- and lowercase letters. Longer passwords are more secure. You’re prompted to type the password whenever you unlock the Samsung mobile device screen.  

 

Navigate to Apps → Settings → Lock screen and security → Screen lock type → Password → Set and confirm password → Set notifications on lock screen → DONE

a). Tap on Apps icon from the Home screen.

b). Tap on Settings icon.

c). Select and tap on Lock screen and security settings.

d). Tap on Screen lock type.

e). Select and tap on Password lock.

 

. 

 

f). Enter the Password you want to set to unlock the device.

 

. 

 

g). Tap on Continue.

 

. 

 

h). Enter the same Password again to confirm it.

 

. 

 

i). Tap on Ok.

 

. 

 

j). You can select the display options for notifications on the lock screen and then tap on Done.

 

. 

 

NOTE : Your password must contain at least 4 characters, including at least one letter.
