Is it normal if water drips from the bottom of the door during normal cooking operations?
Cause of water dripping from the oven:
This is normally caused by condensation within the oven cavity.Condensation is a perfectly natural phenomenon of any cooking process and is not indicative of a faulty oven and does not cause any hazard.
Factors leading to it:
The degree of condensation is governed by various factors but the main ones are:
● The type of food being cooked.
● The power output of the microwave oven.
● The size and shape of the oven cavity.
Rectification:
The size of the cavity in relation to the oven's output is also a contributory factor of condensation.Condensation can normally be kept to minimum by covering the food ( with microwaveble cling film) wherever practicable.Alternatively,we recommend the cavity be wiped immediately after each time to avoid rust formation.
