What is White Balance in Samsung Compact Cameras?

White balance (WB) is the process of removing unrealistic color casts. The color of your photo depends on the type and quality of the light source. If you want the color of your photo to be realistic, select a White Balance setting that is appropriate for the lighting conditions, such as Auto WB, Daylight, Cloudy, or Tungsten. Proper camera white balance has to take into account the "color temperature" of a light source, which refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light.
