I can't play 4K, 120Hz PS5 games with HDR on my Samsung TV

Owners of the PS5 and specific Samsung TVs may have noticed that they are unable to get a 4K, 120Hz picture while using HDR. This is a bug in the PS5 and a fix will be coming through a PlayStation update.

What can I do?

Make sure to keep your PS5 updated with the latest software. A fix for this issue will be delivered through a PS5 update.

If you are experiencing issues, you can switch off the HDR setting in your PS5 and enjoy games in 4K at 120Hz. Alternatively, you can set your PS5 to display at a frame rate of 60Hz, so that you can still use both 4K and HDR.

What TVs are affected?

Only specific Samsung TV models that support 4K 120Hz and HDR may experience issues with the PS5. Check the list below to see if your TV is one of them.
