Connecting your Galaxy tablet to other devices

Your Galaxy tablet can connect to other devices. You can mirror your screen, transfer files or connect to your smart watch, or smart devices in your home.  

1 From the home screen, swipe down and tap the Samsung folder

2 Open Samsung Flow

3 Tap Scan for Devices on the bottom right hand corner, then select the correct device when it comes up

 Make sure that Bluetooth is on for both devices and that they are discoverable.

4 Confirm the Bluetooth pairing request, then agree to the Samsung Flow Terms and Conditions, then confirm the passkey on each device when it comes up

5 AllowSamsung Flow to access your media, then accept permission on your smartphone

6 You can transfer files from your phone by opening the Samsung Flow app on your Galaxy smartphone and tapping the paperclip icon to attach. Select the files you want to transfer and tap Done

7 To transfer files from your Galaxy tablet, open the Samsung Flow app and tap the paperclip icon to Attach Select the files you want to transfer and tap Done

8 You can also drag and drop files into the Flow History window.

1 Open Samsung Flow, then tap SCAN FOR DEVICES on the bottom right corner of the screen.

2 Make sure the device you want to connect to has Bluetooth turned on, then when the device name appears, tap it and select OK

SmartThings allows you to monitor and control your home smart devices. 

1 Open SmartThings. You'll usually find this in your Samsung folder.

2 Sign in to your Samsung account. If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one. Once you've signed in, you can Create Scenes and Add Devices

3 For further information on how to Create Scenes and Add Devices select Menu within the SmartThings App and then click on the How to use button.

4 Creating Scenes allows you to control multiple devices at one time such as the temperature, music and lighting in the living room.

Smart View allows you to mirror your screen on another device such as a smartphone or TV.  

1 Pull down from the top of the screen and tap the Smart View icon

2 Your tablet will now start searching for connected devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Tap on the device where you want to view your tablet's screen to begin screen mirroring

Please note: both devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You will also need to ensure that screen mirroring is enabled on the other device.

Using Smart View
