Are the doors of my Samsung washer or dryer reversible?

Samsung dryers allow you to reverse the door. This feature can be useful if your dryer is fitted in a position where a left swinging or a right swinging door is not easily accessed. 

This feature is offered for select dryers only and not for washing machines or washer dryers. Some dryer models do not offer this feature. Check your user manual for details.

The steps used to reverse your dryer's doors vary slightly depending on the model. Some of the methods are covered below. Check your user manual for model-specific steps.

To reverse the dryer doors:

For model: DV**K6***E*  may cover other models.

1 Unplug the dryer.
2 Remove the two door hinge screws.

Please note: There is a screw on the back side of the hinge that will support the door as you unscrew the hinge.

3 Lift the door and remove it from the dryer.
4 Remove the two screws that are above and below the cut-out in the frame front. Save these for later.
5 Remove the two screws above and below the lever holder on the opposite side of the door opening.
6 Remove the two screws that hold the lever holder in place.
7 Remove the lever holder.
8 Re-insert the two screws that held the lever holder into the same screw holes and tighten.
9 Remove the single screw from the back of the door hinge.

This is the screw that supports the door against the frame so you can unscrew or screw in the hinge without needing to support the door yourself.

10 Insert the screw you just removed into the other screw hole on the back of the door hinge, and then tighten.
11 Place the door on the other side, and then reattach it to the dryer.

Using the support screw you have just reinserted, manoeuvre the hole above the cut out in the frame, onto the support screw. Slide the door hinge down until it stops. The support screw is now bearing the weight of the door.  Make sure the screw on the back of the hinge is pressed into the cut out before you tighten the hinge screws. 

12 Push the lever holder into the cut out on the other side of the door opening.
13 Insert screws, and then tighten.
14 Re-attach the remaining screws to the remaining holes above and below the lever holder, and tighten.

For model: DV9*N62****/DV8*N62**** may cover other models.

1 Remove the door packing from the door.
2 Remove the screws on the inner glass holder of the door. First, loosen and remove the 3 screws on the bottom . Then, loosen and remove the 3 screws on the top of the holder.
3 Detach the glass holder.
4 Remove the hinge screws by loosening and removing the 2 bolts on the door frame and then detach the door.
5 Remove the upper screw on the right of the door frame, and then insert it in the corresponding left hole of the door frame. Do not remove the lower bracket screws.
6 Remove the 2 bracket screws on the left frame, and remove the 2 holder screws on the right frame.
7 Insert the 2 removed bracket screws in the left frame.
8 Remove the bottom screw on the left frame, and then insert it in the corresponding hole on the right frame.
9 Insert the lever holder on the right frame, and then tighten the 2 holder screws.
10 Insert the door hinge in the opposite position to the door frame, and then, tighten the 2 bolt screws.
11 Insert the inner glass holder in the door cover.
12 Tighten the 3 holder screws on the top. Then, tighten the 3 holder screws on the bottom.
13 Attach the door packing to the door.

For models: DV**M 5***1*/DV**M5***2*/DV**M5***3*  may cover other models.

1 Open the door, and then loosen the two screws on the door hinge.
2 To remove, slightly lift the door while holding it with two hands.
3 Use a thin object to remove the door sealing.
4 On the inside of the door, remove the upper 3 screws and the lower 3 screws on the glass holder.
5 Remove the glass holder.
6 Rotate the door cover by 180 degrees.
7 Insert the glass holder into the new position of the door cover. Make sure the door hinge is in the same position as indicated in the image.
8 Tighten the upper 3 screws and the lower 3 screws on the glass holder.

Please note: The screw shapes differ by dimension. Make sure you tighten the correct screw.

9 Insert the door sealing in the correct position.
10 Remove the 2 screws that remain after removing the door hinge.
11 Loosen the 4 screws on the lever holder.
12 Remove the lever holder and reinsert it to the opposite side.
13 On the opposite hinge frame, tighten the 2 screws removed earlier.

Please note: You must tighten the screws on the right (top-right and bottom-right) of the frame.

14 Move the bottom screws of the door hinge to the upper side of the door hinge and tighten.
15 Put the door hinge on the opposite side, and tighten the 2 screws to fix the door to the dryer.

For model: DV**M5***K*   may cover other models.

1 Remove the 2 bolt-screws on the door and move the door free. Be careful to support the door as you remove the screws.
2 Remove the 2 screws (A) from the door lever.
3 Remove all 14 screws (B) from the inner holder.
4 Remove the inner-holder glass.
5 Turn the door cover by 180 degrees.
6 Insert the inner-holder glass into the reversed door cover.
7 Tighten the 14 screws (B) on the inner holder.

Please note: Make sure you tighten the screws (B) on the inner holder hinge, not the screws on the door lever.

8 Tighten the 2 screws (A) on the door lever.

Please note: Make sure you tighten the screws (A) on the door lever, not the screws on the inner holder hinge.

9 Move the bottom screws of the door hinge to the upper side of the door hinge and tighten the screws.
10 Fix the door hinge on the opposite side by tightening the 2 bolt screws.
