University of Indonesia (UI), through the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom), together with Samsung Research Indonesia (SRIN), collaborate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics areas. As a university, it is a form of UI's commitment to continue developing research that impacts society amid the rapid technological advances.
The Dean of Fasilkom UI, Petrus Mursanto, said that AI and robotics programs are important things that need to be applied in the university's computer science field. According to Petrus, the two research fields are Fasilkom UI's specialties, considering UI is currently focusing on developing various types of research through its AI Center. "The topics offered are also interesting, especially AI, which has become Fasilkom UI's specialty because we have AI Center. Thus, our supercomputer can be used optimally with various programs from our partners like this. We are welcome with what SRIN wants to collaborate," told him.
Meanwhile, Head of SRIN Technology Group, Risman Adnan, said that the collaboration is one of the efforts to strengthen good relations with UI. Especially in computer science and research development programs in AI and robotics through Fasilkom UI. "We at SRIN want to develop more capacity to enter the AI and robotics. In addition, we are currently exploring new technologies, such as blockchain. We also want to ensure that SRIN collaborates closely with the best university in computer science in Indonesia, namely the University of Indonesia. Therefore, the goal is that we want to explore more collaboration in AI and robotics sector," said Risman Adnan.
SRIN, Samsung's research and development center in Indonesia, has collaborated with hundreds of Indonesian digital talents. At the age of 10 this year, with these all-digital talents, various applications have been successfully developed using a local-to-global approach. (OL-1).
