Find the best fit for your ears with the Galaxy Earbud fit test
You can check whether your Galaxy Buds2 are properly worn with the Galaxy earbud fit test. You may have worn earbuds that either pinched your ears or were too loose. If you wear your earbuds correctly, it will help ensure they remain comfortable while providing the best sound and call quality possible. Check the following guide to test your Galaxy Buds fit.
Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you're not sure about the fit, try the Galaxy Earbud fit test
You can use the Galaxy Earbud fit test if you're not sure that you're getting the best possible sound quality and active noise cancelling. In the Galaxy Earbud fit test, while wearing the Galaxy Buds2, speakers in the earbuds emit a chime sound into the ear to detect and calculate bouncing sound that escapes through your earbuds for any sound loss. An ear tip showing the least sound loss would be recommended as best fit. Follow the steps below to test your ear buds.
Note:
- If you remove the earbuds from your ears during the earbud fit test, the test will stop.
- You may need different size ear tips for your left and right ears.
Your Galaxy Buds2 come with soft, flexible silicone tips in different sizes. To attach an ear tip, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Select the ear tip that fits your ear.
Step 2. Align the latch at the bottom of the earbud and groove of the ear tip. Then cover the latch with the ear tips.
If there is a gap between the ear tip and the earbud, sound may leak out and the earbuds' performance may be poor. Please make sure that the ear tips and the earbud grooves fit properly.
Note:
- Do not put the earbuds in your ears without ear tips. Doing so may hurt your ears.
- Do not pull the ear tip excessively when you attach or detach it. The ear tip may tear.
- Do not press the ear tip excessively or twist it. The ear tip may be damaged.
The Galaxy Earbud fit test is a feature that is provided for reference so that you can wear the Galaxy Buds2 correctly. If the results on the screen say you need to adjust your earbuds, try adjusting your earbuds or changing the ear tips, and tap Retry to start the test again.
Depending on the shape of your left and right ear, you may need to use different size ear tips. If the earbuds are not worn correctly, or if the ear tips are too small or too large for your ears, the test results may still show as ‘Poor fit'.
