Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Debuts First 5G Phone of the Mid-tier Galaxy A Series in Hong Kong
Nov 11. 2020Hong Kong – November 9, 2020 – Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. Ltd. today announced the launch of the Galaxy A42 5G, the first 5G smartphone of the mid-tier Galaxy A series in Hong Kong. Supporting 5G connectivity, the Galaxy A42 5G enables hyperfast uploads and downloads, online gaming and nearly no-latency video conferencing. Equipped with a 48MP quad rear camera, 6.6-inch Infinity-U Display with fingerprint recognition and 5,000mAh long lasting battery, the Galaxy A42 5G allows users to enjoy ultimate smooth viewing and entertainment experience at an attractive price. Designed with a layered pattern, the stylish and modern phone is available in three colors: Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White and Prism Dot Gray, bringing a refreshing look. The Galaxy A42 5G will go on sale from November 11.
Powerful Performance, Long-Lasting Battery, Hyperfast Connectivity
The Galaxy A42 5G is the first mid-tier Galaxy A series phone that supports 5G network in Hong Kong, allowing users to enjoy smoother communication, viewing and entertainment experience via the hyperfast connectivity. With the 5G network, high-quality content is available at super-fast speed. The low latency brought by the 5G network makes for seamless connections. There is almost no latency for video calls and gaming experience.
The Galaxy A42 5G comes with a 5,000mAh large battery for all-day support[1]. The 15W fast charging saves time for recharging and eliminates the worry of running out of battery even when working outdoors.
In addition, the Galaxy A42 5G comes with dual-sim dual-standby. With 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, it also supports an external microSD card[2], bringing the total storage capacity to 1TB, allowing users to save their favorite music, photos, and videos. Users’ information is protected by Samsung Knox security solution. The Dual Messenger function allows the use of two separate accounts for the same app, so that users can manage their work and life needs easily.

The 123-degree 8MP Ultra Wide Camera is suitable for spectacular buildings and natural scenes. The 5MP macro camera is used for portrait, food or flowers. Matched with the Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detection functions, users can take quality shots with ease, capturing every special moment.
