Samsung Launches One UI 3.1 Update Bringing Select Powerful Features from the Galaxy S21 Series 5G to More Galaxy Devices

Company, Limited today announced that the One UI 3.1 update is coming to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the Galaxy S20 Series 5G, the Galaxy Note20 Series 5G and some models in the Galaxy A series. The brand-new One UI 3.1 brings various interesting camera functions, such as Object Eraser, Multi Mic Recording and improved Single Take features. In addition, One UI 3.1 enables the Private Share and a range of personalization tools, bringing flexible and upgraded user experience[1].
New Camera Features Easily Capture Incredible Shots
With One UI 3.1, Galaxy Users can enjoy incredible new camera innovations of the Galaxy S21 Series 5G, making it easier than ever to capture stunning and professional-looking photos.
Object Eraser: The new Object Eraser tool helps users to cut out unwanted parts effortlessly and get a perfect photo. Users can simply tap the area they wish to remove and the AI will automatically select and delete it. The whole process is simple and convenient without time-consuming manual editing.
Autoexposure Controller: One UI 3.1 features an improved touch autofocus and autoexposure controller[2], making the adjustment of the focus and brightness easier than ever. With just a swipe left or right anywhere on the screen, users can now edit the brightness of the image before they take the shot to capture the best photo.
Improved Single Take: The improved Single Take feature allows users to select the shooting time[3] and filters. With just a tap, the system will produce up to four videos and 10 photos simultaneously, making it easier than ever to capture stunning photos and shoot professional-looking videos.
Multi Mic Recording: One UI 3.1 also introduces the new Multi Mic Recording feature[4], which, when in Pro Video mode, allows users to simultaneously record audio through both the phone or tablet and a connected Bluetooth device such as Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live and Buds+[5]. Vloggers can take advantage of this feature to narrate a shot where they want to be heard from afar. Musicians can record the sound of their voice and instrument separately for more professional-sounding audio to get creative and make videos that look and sound incredible.
Considerate and Reliable Smart Features
One UI 3.1’s new Eye Comfort Shield[6] mode will automatically adjust the blue light based on the time of day. Using Eye Comfort Shield’s warmer tones can help users to fall asleep easier at night. Users can also set their device to automatically adjust the screen’s colors throughout the day or personalize the schedule themselves. What’s more, One UI 3.1 makes it more convenient and safe to manage and share content. Remove metadata that reveals the location of photos before sharing them or use Private Share[7] to control who is allowed access to the content, and how long it is available, to better protect users’ privacy.
Smoother Galaxy Ecosystem Experience
Users can enjoy smoother Galaxy ecosystem upon getting the One UI 3.1 update. The Auto Switch feature on the Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live and Buds+[8] enables earbuds to switch connect between a phone and a tablet freely, where the audio will sync with the content playing on the device. If users are watching videos or listening to their favorite songs on the phone, they can enjoy more realistic and immersive sound by connecting the compatible phone and Galaxy Buds Pro thanks to 360 Audio.
