Galaxy S23 Series Samsung guaranteed Trade-in value program Terms and Conditions
- Galaxy S23 Series Samsung guaranteed Trade-in value program (this “Promotion”) is organized by Samsung Electronics H. K. Company, Limited ("Samsung") and will be held between 21 DEC 2023 and 17 JAN 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).
- This Promotion is available to each customer who purchases a brand new genuine Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ or Galaxy S23 Ultra Smartphone (“Designated Product”) at Samsung Hong Kong authorized resellers, authorized distributors, Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Online Shop (not including Samsung Employee Purchase Program and Education Store), and successfully completes trade in of an Eligible Old Device (defined below), via dedicated Samsung Trade-in website (each an “Eligible Customer”) during the Promotion Period. Eligible Customer will be entitled to a trade-in value of up to HK$6,700 for the Eligible Old Device (“Offer”)*.
*Customers who decide to redeem “Extra HK$300 Trade-in Rebate” for Galaxy S23 or “Extra HK$500 Trade-in Rebate” for Galaxy S23+ / Galaxy S23 Ultra promotion are not eligible to enjoy this Promotion Offer, and vice versa.
- Old devices would not be eligible for processing trade-in in the following situations:
- After final physical assessment and inspection, the old device has monitor issue (Broken, Display has burn-in / residual image / light dot or display has discoloration and not functioning properly), broken back or front glass, not working properly or body bent / folding axis of the device;
ii. Security locks and personal accounts cannot be completely removed from the old device (e.g. Pattern/Pin/Password/Biometrics/Find my mobile/Gmail account/Samsung account/iCloud/Android or Google Smart Lock etc.); or
iii Not genuine products purchased from authorized resellers, authorized distributors, Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Online Shop in Hong Kong.
The Guaranteed Trade-in value is applicable to Eligible Old Devices with scratches on screens or phone shells only.
4.By participating in this Promotion, each Eligible Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Samsung reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, please check for updates on the Promotion page, the latest version shall prevail. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
- For submission of more than one Eligible Old Devices (max. up to 5), the system would automatically identify and select one Eligible Old Device to join this Promotion and redeem the Offer (Not Applicable to Samsung Online Shop where only one Eligible Old Device can be submitted).

*The above Eligible Old Devices do not fall into any of the situations as specified in Clause 3.
- The above Guaranteed Trade-in value of Eligible Old Device is for reference only. Due to the difference in condition and model of the Eligible Old Device submitted by each Eligible Customer for trade-in, individual trade-in value may vary. After physical assessment of the Eligible Old Device, the Samsung Experience Store Trade-in helper would provide a final and conclusive quotation of the trade-in value for the Eligible Old Device. Eligible Customer may decide whether to accept the quotation of trade-in value and whether to take the Offer. If there are only scratches on the screens or phone shells of the Eligible Old Devices, , the Eligible Customer will be entitled to the above corresponding Guaranteed Trade-in value to each Eligible Old Device provided above.
Each Eligible Customer is only entitled to receive the Offer for twice; each Designated Product can be used to redeem the Offer for only once. Offer is only available for redemption at Hong Kong Samsung Experience Stores.
- The Offer is subject to limited quota, on a first-come-first-served basis.
- To redeem the Offer, each Eligible Customer must complete the trade in process of an Eligible Old Device via dedicated Samsung Trade-in website from 21 Dec 2023 to 24 Jan 2024. The Offer will be forfeited if Eligible Customer fails to complete the trade-in and redeem the Offer within the designated period. Eligible Customer shall not make any claim against Samsung whatsoever, and Samsung shall not bear any liability whatsoever.
11. Samsung reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible Customer from the Offer where it has reasonable grounds to believe that Eligible Customer has violated these Terms and Conditions or any instructions and/or requirements of this Promotion, or that Eligible Customer may have gained an unfair advantage by participating in this Promotion or redeemed the Offer using fraudulent means.
12. The Offer cannot be transferred or sold, cannot be exchanged for cash or other offers/gifts. Samsung reserves the right to change or substitute the Offer with other offers/gifts of a comparable or equivalent value as it deems fit.
13. The Offer is only available to an Eligible Customer who purchased the Designated Product for private and domestic use.
14. Non-end users (including but not limited to, distributors and resellers) are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
15. Except where expressly provided herein, each Eligible Customer shall bear any costs, expenses and relevant tax payments incurred resulting from participating in this Promotion and no reimbursement may be sought from Samsung.
16. By participating in this Promotion, Eligible Customer agrees to exempt and exclude Samsung from all claims or liabilities of any nature arising from participating in this Promotion or otherwise related to this Promotion, including but not limited to, any damage or loss caused by the acquisition, receipt, possession, use or misuse of the Offer or other reasons, and any claim or ground for litigation of any type or nature which the Eligible Customer may potentially possess based on such damage or loss. The above disclaimer is not applicable to damage or loss caused by fraud (including misrepresentation), or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Terms with the effect of disclaiming liabilities in these Terms and Conditions shall be applied to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws.
18. Each Eligible Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Samsung harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including legal costs on an indemnity basis) arising from any misconduct or negligence, as well as breach of these Terms and Conditions for which such Eligible Customer is liable.
19. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted due to any reason beyond Samsung's reasonable control, including but not limited to computer system defects, breakdown of web services, virus infection, hacking, technical failure and/or any force majeure events, Samsung reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel this Promotion, in whole or in part, as appropriate. Samsung shall not bear any liability therefrom.
20. In the event of any dispute arising from or in connection with this Promotion or relating to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, Samsung reserves the right of final decision.
21. By participating in this Promotion, each Eligible Customer agrees that any personal data provided in connection with this Promotion will be collected, used and retained by Samsung, its affiliates and its third party service providers (whether in Hong Kong or abroad) (collectively “Data Users”) for the purposes of (i) verifying eligibility and identity of Eligible Customer, and (ii) fulfillment of Offer redemption and other purposes directly related to this Promotion. Such personal data will be kept in strict confidence and not be disclosed to other third party or used for any other purposes without Eligible Customer’s consent. Data Users will collect and use the personal data in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong) and Samsung Privacy Policy. 22. No person other than the Eligible Customer and Samsung will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong) to enforce these Terms and Conditions or enjoy any benefits therein.
23. An English version of these Terms and Conditions is provided for reference only. If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
24. These Terms and Conditions and /or any claim or dispute arising from or in connection with this Promotion shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict or choice of law provisions. The parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR.
25. If any terms in these Terms and Conditions is judged to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be replaced by a term which achieves Samsung’s intention to the greatest extent possible, and the validity and enforceability of the rest of the Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
