5G Americas is gearing up to host its annual industry Analyst Forum in the Dallas, Texas area in October again this year. The invitation-only, annual event is an opportunity for subject matter experts from its 15 member companies to discuss relevant current and upcoming technical advancements as well as participate in a variety of small roundtable discussions with key industry analysts.

5G Americas is a trade association that brings together wireless cellular network operators, equipment manufacturers, and other ecosystem enablers like tower companies and network software developers to promote 5G technologies and beyond throughout the Americas region. It has a storied history that stretches back to the early 2000s in the 3G era. The Analyst Forum is a platform that puts the companies at the same table with analysts, who have the chance to ask the hard questions at a level of depth not found elsewhere.

In addition, 5G Americas hosts operator panels that provide valuable insights into the direction of the wireless cellular industry, along with special keynote guest speakers from government or industry.

At the 5G Americas Analyst Forum, roundtable discussions have covered crucial topics such as spectrum management, Open RAN challenges, and the evolving landscape of 5G vertical use cases.

This year, we think industry analysts will again have the chance to dive deep into these technical topics alongside subject matter experts, fostering in-depth discussions. Additionally, advancements in RAN architectures, AI, and Open RAN are some of the areas that Samsung plans to discuss at the event, highlighting some of the trends shaping the future of the 5G ecosystem.

Viet Nguyen, Vice President of 5G Americas, stated, "The 5G Americas Analyst Forum is our flagship event. This forum provides a unique opportunity for wireless analysts and subject matter experts from the leading wireless cellular companies to engage in meaningful, relevant, and technical discussions about where the industry is headed.”

“Technology in the wireless world moves fast and is very innovative,” said Ulf Ewaldsson, Chairman of the 5G Americas Board of Governors & President of Technology, T-Mobile. “Through the lens of experts, the 5G Americas Analyst forum helps us understand the real impacts technology has and how it really works.”

As a member company, Samsung Networks always looks forward to this event as it provides us with a neutral platform to have engaging and personalized discussions with industry analysts. Generally, hundreds of analysts and subject matter experts have attended the event from across the U.S., Canada and Latin America to cover a range of topics facing the telecom industry.

Industry analyst Anshel Sag of Moor Insights and Strategy, stated, "5G Americas Analyst Summit has provided invaluable experiences of talking to the best experts in the industry from many different companies, including Samsung, one of the key players in the mobile telecommunications market. Getting diverse perspectives from some of the most knowledgeable people in 5G has made the event more powerful. It also provides a direct opportunity for us to provide feedback to the industry. I believe that the 5G Americas Analyst Summit is one of the few opportunities that the industry has to talk freely and candidly about challenges and solutions with thoughtful consideration for real timelines and expectations."

As the leader in next-generation technologies like Open RAN and virtualized RAN (vRAN), Samsung believes it’s important to spearhead conversations about how these technologies are changing the telecom industry and what learnings we’ve found as an early pioneer across the globe. We also value the insights from the analyst community and member companies to learn more about their insights.
