Set up SmartThings on your Samsung Smart TV

Before you can use or control all your smart devices, you have to set up the SmartThings app on your TV.

1. First, make sure you have SmartThings downloaded on your phone and that you have added all your devices.
   
   

   

   
   
2. If SmartThings is not already installed on your TV, select APPS, and then search for it using the search bar.
   
   
3. Select Install and review any on-screen instructions to complete the process.

SmartThings is available on your phone and many other devices, but what if your phone's all the way across the room? No worries! You can use your TV.

1. Press the Home button on your remote, and then navigate to and open SmartThings. If needed, sign into your Samsung account.
   
   

   

   
   
2. The smart devices you’ve added to the SmartThings account on your phone will appear. You can add, view, monitor, and control them right from the TV.
   
   
3. Use your remote to select a device to check its status or perform an action.
   
   
4. For example, you can turn connected lights on or off. You can even run scenes if you have them set up.

If you would like to check if your TV supports SmartThings, you can do so right from the SmartThings app.

1. On your phone or tablet, navigate to and open the SmartThings app.
   
   
2. Tap the Devices tab, and then tap Add (the plus sign). Tap Add device.
   
   

   

   
   
3. Tap the By brand tab, and then tap Samsung.
   
   
4. Tap TV, and then swipe through the list of TVs to find your model if necessary. Then, follow the instructions to connect your TV.
