Galaxy One UI 6 brings simplified names to Samsung apps
Galaxy users will notice some subtle changes with the release of Galaxy One UI 6 (Android Version 14). For example, the names displayed with a number of Samsung app icons have been simplified, making it easier for users to recognise apps at a glance.
Simplified labels
Simplifying app labels for Galaxy One UI 6 (Android Version 14) includes limiting app names to one line on Galaxy home screens by removing the words "Samsung" and "Galaxy" from the displayed names of apps. This change creates a cleaner, more organised appearance, which in turn helps users find their favourites more easily.
Note: The actual name of the app has not changed, only the way it appears on both the home screen and app screen.
Users can search by full name in the App list search as well as search in Settings > Apps.
