Safety precautions when using a Galaxy device

Lithium-ion batteries built into Galaxy products store a lot of energy inside, and serious human and material accidents can occur if misused or abused. To ensure user safety and prevent property damage, be sure to read the following carefully and use the product correctly.
How to keep your Galaxy devices battery safe
- Do not use damaged power cords or plugs, or loose electrical sockets.
- Do not touch the device, power cords, plugs, or the electric socket with wet hands or other wet body parts.
- Do not pull the power cord excessively when disconnecting it.
- Use manufacturer-approved batteries, chargers, accessories, and supplies.
- Do not drop or cause excessive impact to the device.
- Do not store your device near or in heaters, microwaves, hot cooking equipment, or high-pressure containers.
- Do not use or store your device in areas with high concentrations of dust or airborne materials.
- Prevent the multipurpose jack and the small end of the charger from contact with conductive materials, such as liquids, dust, metal powders, and pencil leads.
- Do not touch the multipurpose jack with sharp tools or cause an impact to the multipurpose jack.
- Do not bite or suck the device or the battery.
- Do not directly connect the charger’s positive and negative terminals together.
- Do not use your device outdoors during a thunderstorm.
- Do not use your device near devices or any equipment that could emit radio frequencies, such as sound systems or radio towers.
- Turn off the device in potentially explosive environments.
How to use your Galaxy phone safely
- Keep your device dry.
- Do not store your device with metal objects, such as coins, keys, and jewelry.
- Do not store your device near magnetic fields.
- Avoid contact with device when it is overheating. Failure to do so may cause low temperature burns, redness and skin pigmentation.
- Be careful not to expose the camera lens to a strong light source, such as direct sunlight.
- If your device has a camera flash or light, do not use it close to the eyes of people or pets.
- Turn off the device in potentially explosive environments.
- Do not drop your device or cause impacts to your device.
- Do not disassemble, modify, or repair your device.
- Do not use your device in a hospital, on an aircraft, or in any automotive equipment that can be interfered with by radio frequency.
- If you use a hearing aid, contact the manufacturer for information about radio interference.
