How to safely stop your Samsung dryer mid-cycle
In our busy lives, unexpected situations often arise, necessitating the abrupt interruption of household tasks. Stopping a dryer mid-cycle, whether due to an urgent appointment or another reason, requires caution and knowledge to ensure safety and appliance care. This guide offers clear instructions on how to safely halt your drying cycle, along with crucial safety tips.
Note: This guide is applicable to Samsung dryers available in Canada.
Immediate stop: To halt the drying cycle immediately, press the Power button. This action will cease the operation and shut down the appliance.
Handling post-stop: Exercise caution when opening the dryer door post-interruption. The interior, especially the tumbler, retains high heat.
Removing clothes safely: If your clothes have metal parts like zippers or hooks, be wary of their high temperature. It's advisable to wait until the items have cooled down before removal.
Reminder about the child lock feature: If you have activated the Child Lock feature, be aware that it will keep the dryer door locked even after the cycle is stopped. The door will remain locked until the Child Lock is manually turned off.
Avoiding unnecessary interruptions: It's generally advised to let the dryer complete its cycle unless interruption is unavoidable.
Cycle completion: Understand that the dryer might not stop instantly upon pressing the off switch, as a safety precaution.
Drying quality: Interrupting the cycle may result in less than optimal drying; clothes may remain damp.
Load size and cycle recommendations: For the best drying results, adhere to the load size guidelines for each cycle. Note that sensor cycles may adjust their duration based on the load's dryness, while manual cycles run for a preset duration.
