Terms and Conditions for the Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series Trade-In Offer 

*Some conditions apply. Receive a trade-in promotional credit of up to $500, in addition to the trade-in value of your eligible old smartphone (the “Eligible Trade-In Product”), if you:

1.      pre-order and complete your purchase of an eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device between July 10th, 2024 and July 23rd, 2024; or purchase an eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device between July 24th, 2024 and September 4th, 2024 (the “Offer Period”), from a participating authorized Canadian retailer or carrier, a Samsung Experience Store in Canada, or online at  either https://www.samsung.com/ca/ or through Samsung Shop App and

2.      complete the trade-in of your Eligible Trade-In Product by September 4th, 2024; and

3.      ship the Eligible Trade-in Product within 21 calendar days of receiving the waybill.

The “Eligible Trade-In Product” can be any smartphone of any model, any manufacturer that is listed on the List of Eligible Trade-In Devices below and in any condition provided that it: (i) is verifiable in accordance with its serial/IMEI number, (ii) was purchased in Canada;(iii) has a minimum qualifying trade-in value of $0 as determined by the Service Provider’s device valuation software; and (iv) is owned by the customer.

The Promotional Trade-In Credit offered is as follows:

        i.          $500 if you complete the purchase of an eligible Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device and trade-in an eligible Galaxy Note Series, Galaxy S Series, or Galaxy Z Series device as defined in List of Eligible Trade-In Devices below; or

       ii.          $300 if you complete the purchase of an eligible Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device and trade-in an Eligible Trade-In Product (excluding Galaxy Note Series, Galaxy S Series, or Galaxy Z Series device) as defined as “Other Smartphone” in List of Eligible Trade-In Devices below;

This offer is limited to the trade-in of one (1) Eligible Trade-in Product per eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device purchased. This offer has no cash value. Any questions relating to the Eligible Trade-In Product must be addressed where the trade-in takes place.  For any questions with respect to the trade-in process conducted online at www.galaxyupgrade.ca, please call 1-800-726-7864. Determination of the final trade-in value of your Eligible Trade-In Product (“Trade-In Value”), if any, is determined by Assurant Services Canada Inc. or the applicable participating retailer or carrier. Note:  

1.      Once the Eligible Trade-in Product has been traded in, it cannot be returned to the customer, even if the purchased Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device has been returned by the customer for any reason including but not limited to buyer’s remorse. Samsung is not responsible for the Eligible Trade-in Product once it would have been provided by the customer in connection with this offer.

2.      Please send us your trade-in device only. Any packaging, whether original or new, and any accessories that you choose to send with your device will be disposed of and cannot be returned to you.

I) Redemption process for purchases made online on https://www.samsung.com/ca/:

For the purchase of an eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device made online at https://www.samsung.com/ca/, the verification of the Eligible Trade-in Product will be performed by Assurant Services Canada Inc.

Please Note: In the event that the trade-in value of the Eligible Trade-In Product and trade-in promotional credit (if applicable) exceed the purchase price of your new Samsung device, you will not be eligible to participate in this Trade-In Program and the system will display an error message.

The process is as follows:

1.      Purchase an eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device online at https://www.samsung.com/ca/ during the Offer Period.

2.      Complete the trade-in tool in your online cart by registering and providing all requested information of your Eligible Trade-In Product, including the Serial Number / IMEI of your Eligible Trade-In Product. The trade-in tool will provide an estimated value for the Eligible Trade-in Product. The actual value of the trade-in device is determined by Assurant Services Canada Inc. once the Eligible Trade-in Product is received. Please Note: For purchases made online at https://www.samsung.com/ca/, you must apply the trade-in of the Eligible Trade-in Product at cart level using the trade-in tool, prior to checkout.

3.      The trade-in promotional credit (as set out above), as applicable, and the estimated Trade-in Value of Eligible Trade-In Product, will then be applied towards the purchase price (before taxes) of your new Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device, at the time of checkout.

4.      A prepaid waybill will be sent to your registered email address when your new Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device is shipped. 

5.      Mail your Eligible Trade-in Product to the address listed on the waybill within 21 calendar days of receiving the waybill.

6.      The Eligible Trade-in Product will be received and assessed by Assurant Services Canada Inc. to determine the final Trade-In Value.

Please note: For trade-in transactions online at Samsung.com/ca if you do not send in your Eligible Trade-In Product within the prescribed time, or if the device condition differs materially from that which you have represented to be accurate using the Trade-In Tool, your trade-in transaction may be subject to a Non-Return Charge, Device Condition Charge, or Rejection of Device Condition Charge, in whole or in part, in accordance with the Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions of Use. II) Redemption process for purchases made at Samsung Experience Stores in Canada:

The purchase of eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device and the verification of the Eligible Trade-in Product will occur simultaneously at the point of purchase at a Samsung Experience Store in Canada. The process is as follows:

1.      During the Offer Period, meet with a Samsung Experience Store representative to complete a physical assessment of your Eligible Trade-in Product

2.      Complete the outright purchase of eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device by September 4th, 2024

3.      The trade-in promotional credit (as set out above), together with the Trade-in Value of the Eligible Trade-in Product, will be applied towards the purchase price (before taxes) of your new Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device

III) Redemption process for purchases made either in-store or online at participating authorized Canadian retailers or carriers.

For purchases of an eligible Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device made at a participating authorized Canadian retailer or carrier, either online or in store, that has a trade-in program onsite, the process is as follows:

1.      Complete the purchase of Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 Series device during Offer Period, in accordance with the purchase procedures of the participating authorized Canadian retailers or carriers (defined below in section ‘Participating Partners’).

2.      The trade-in promotional credit, together with the Trade-in Value of the Eligible Trade-in Product, will be disbursed in accordance with the trade-in procedures of the participating authorized Canadian retailers or carriers.
