Why phone calls might drop when using my Galaxy s9/s9+

We are aware that your Galaxy S9/S9+ may experience phone calls that mute or drop, in area’s with weak signal. To amend this issue, we will release a new software update at the earliest possible moment.

Make sure to regularly check for software updates on your device, via the Smart Switch or FOTA.
