Wash and dry clothes thoroughly and efficiently. AI Opti Wash & Dry™ identifies the weight of the load to automatically dispense the right amount of detergent and water⁴. It also detects the fabric and monitors the level of soiling. It then adjusts the drying process to suit the weight and fabric of your laundry⁴.

Triple Cooling technology supplies cool air independently to the 3 compartments in the fridge and freezer. It helps maintain the optimal temperature and humidity in each compartment and can help ensure that your food is not tainted by other strong smells.

1. The SmartThings App is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.

2.  As of March 2024, AI Vision Inside can recognise 33 food items like fresh fruits and veggies. Items need to be scanned one at a time. If the food is not recognisable, it may be listed as unknown item. AI Vision Inside cannot identify or list any food items in the fridge door bins or freezer. It recognises food items based on an on-device smart food management system which combines food detection and classification models to help identify food items.Learning models, may be updated periodically to help improve accuracy.

3. User may need to manually operate the list for accuracy.

4. AI Wash & Dry's detection and sensing capabilities are based on our deep learning models trained using predefined set of data and may yield inaccurate or incorrect results. New datasets may be introduced to our learning models from time to time to enhance its accuracy.

5. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. When a Wi-Fi connection is not available, the preferred mode is based on the result of big data analysis.

6. Stores user data, preferences and usage patterns to suggest the most useful options.

7. The ability to identify different cleaning environments can be affected by environmental conditions such as objects in the path of the vacuum as well as debris or moisture on the surface of the floor.

9.  Object recognition may be affected by an object’s shape or the environmental conditions. Only certain object types can be recognised such as: sofa, bed, bookshelf, table, electrical cable, towel, sock, cup, glass, bottle, bowl, vase, floor mat, rug, coat rack, shoes, stain, door step, doorway, etc. Stained Area Recognition needs to be activated beforehand via the SmartThings App. A Wi-Fi connection and Samsung account are required.

10. Pets cognition is limited to dogs and cats. It only recognises a pet presence based on generic visual indicators, and cannot identify individual pets. A Wi-Fi connection and Samsung account are required. The recognition capabilities may be limited by the posture or position of a cat. The ability to recognise your pet may vary depending on the type of animal and the living environment.

11. A stained area is defined as a solid, coloured and opaque spot, such as a dried juice, with a size of 4cm x 4cm or larger. Stained area identification may be affected by the size of the stain or the environmental conditions of the floor, such as the floor pattern. A Wi-Fi connection and Samsung account are required.

12. Only certain spaces can be recognised. Example spaces: kitchen, living room, and standard room. A Wi-Fi connection and Samsung account are required.

13.The camera is only operating when the light is on.

14. Based on an AI created algorithm and not real time learning. After the ingredients have been identified and the recipe selected, if pre heating is required, the ingredients need to be removed from the oven during pre heating. If pre heating is not required, they can be cooked immediately after they have been identified.

15. May not work properly when cooking specific food items that are a dark colour or have a cover, which can hinder recognition. So you should also monitor the cooking status yourself.

16. ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air–Conditioning Engineers) defines “Still Air” as air currents at speeds below 0.15m/s which lacks the presence of cold drafts. Tested at Ocean Wise Plastics Lab on the WW90T734DWH Samsung washing machine model (using a Synthetic cycle, approximately 2kg load of synthetic textile laundry with no detergent, at 40 ℃℃, wash rate of 50 revolutions per minute (RPM), motor operation rate of 82% and a spin RPM of 1200). The 98% amount was calculated by filtering drain water which passed through the Less Microfiber™ Filter through a 50um stainless steel filter, and comparing it against drain water from a wash cycle without the filter installed. Actual results may vary, depending on the wash cycle, type of detergent and laundry materials.
