Galaxy Buds Setup and Pairing
The Samsung Galaxy Buds are designed for premium sound and enhanced usability. With the compatible devices in the Galaxy S10 range, you can charge the Galaxy Buds with Powershare. Learn how to setup and pair the Galaxy Buds to your mobile device for a truly wireless audio experience.
Getting Started
Changing the eartips:
First thing is to change out the preinstalled ear tips to the right size for you. Correctly sized eartips will make sure you get the best sound from the Samsung Galaxy Buds, as well as making sure they're a comfortable fit.
Changing the wing-tips:
Make sure to attach the Left wing tips to the Left earbud, and the Right wing tip to the Right earbud. Mixing them up could cause problems with the charging case, and might hurt your ears.
Please Note:
- Don't put the earbuds in your ears without ear tips or wing tips - you may hurt your ears.
- Don't pull the ear tips or wing tips excessively when changing the sizes as they may tear.
How to wear the Galaxy Buds
Check the direction of each earbud and put them in your ears with the wing tip pointing directly upwards. Insert them until they're comfortable, then twist the earbud to rotate the wing tip so that it sits inside the auricle of your ear.
The touch-sensitive sensor will detect that you're wearing the earbuds and make a noise to alert you of the recognition. If the touch-sensitive sensor on the inside of the earbud doesn't make contact with your ear, the earbud may not work.
Pair the Galaxy Buds with a mobile device
If you don't have the SmartThings app installed; and for all other devices, connect the Galaxy Buds to the device with the Galaxy Wearable App. iOS devices can pair the Galaxy Buds through the normal Bluetooth menu.
Download the SmartThings or Galaxy Wearable apps from the Galaxy App or Google Play stores to pair the Galaxy Buds to Android devices running Android OS 5.0 and higher, with more than 1.5GB of RAM.
Check out the full guide on Pair a device with the Galaxy Wearable app.
Paired Galaxy Buds
If the earbuds don't connect within 3 minutes, Bluetooth pairing mode will be deactivated. Close the charging case and open it to enter Bluetooth pairing mode again.
Once the earbuds are connected to your mobile device, they will automatically attempt to connect to your mobile device whenever you open the charging case while the earbuds are inside it.
If you want to connect to another mobile device after the initial connection, turn off the Bluetooth function on the previously connected device. To manually enter Bluetooth pairing mode on the Galaxy Buds, tap, then tap and hold the touchpad on the Galaxy Bud.
