Change Screen Lock Type on my Galaxy Device

Want to change your screen lock type on your Galaxy device from a Pattern to a PIN, or Password to Swipe but not too sure how? Simply follow the below steps for more information.
Please note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary.

Launch the Settings app > Lock Screen

Select Screen lock type

Enter in your security PIN, Pattern or Password

Then choose your new Screen Lock Type

If you no longer wish to use a screen lock type simply search 'Swipe'.

Enter and reconfirm your new lock screen passcode

You will then be able to unlock your device using the newly set passcode
