Get the most out of your Galaxy Book Battery

The technology inside a Samsung Galaxy book battery is designed to prevent the battery lifespan from decreasing even with rapid and repeated charging. This keeps the battery lifespan relatively constant, even after prolonged use, allowing you to enjoy your Galaxy book battery for longer.

Prolong and protect you Galaxy book battery

Protect battery mode is a Galaxy feature that protects your Galaxy Book battery by limiting the level of maximum charge to 85%. This helps to protect and maintain battery lifespans when connected to an AC adapter for prolonged periods, such as in an office.

How to turn on Protect battery mode

Step 1. Open “Samsung Settings” and tap “Battery and performance”.

Step 2.Tap switch to turn on.

When Protect battery mode is activated, a heart symbol will appear on the battery icon.

※ Applies to Galaxy Book 3 and later models.

Keep your Galaxy book battery safe when not in use

If you do not intend to use your Galaxy book for more than 3 months, use the Smart Battery Power off feature to help keep your battery safe and to protect it for future performance.

Step 1. In the Galaxy Book BIOS configuration click “Advanced” and “Smart Battery Power Off”.

Step 2. In the Galaxy Book BIOS configuration click “Smart Battery Power Off”.

Step 3. Click “Yes” under “Enter Smart Battery Power Off mode” to activate and shutdown.

If the AC adapter is connected a 'Warning' window may be displayed.

To resume using your Galaxy book it is necessary to connect an AC adapter.

※ Applies to Galaxy Book 3 and later models.
※ Store the device and battery in a cool environment with low humidity to keep the battery stable.
※ Store the AC adapter separately.
※ Maintain at least 30% of battery power to help keep the battery performance stable.
