Samsung TV: How do I perform a factory reset on my Samsung TV?

If you have a problem with your television, you may wish to perform a factory reset and start over. When you perform a factory reset, all settings will revert to factory default. These settings include picture and sound settings, channel menu settings (including memorized channels), clock and timer settings, and other settings that you may have changed.

To perform a factory reset, follow the instructions below:

1 Press the Home button on your remote control
2 Navigate to Settings
3 Navigate to All Settings.
4 Navigate and select General & Privacy
5 Select Factory data reset
6 The security PIN entry window appears enter the security PIN.
select Reset, All settings are then reset The TV turns off and on again automatically and displays the Initial Setup screen

 Note: When you perform a factory reset all your settings revert to factory defaults.

1 With the TV powered on, press the MENU button on your remote control.
2 Navigate to and select the Support section of the Main Menu.
3 Navigate to and select the Self Diagnosis option.
4 Navigate to and select the Reset option.
5 Enter your PIN ( the default PIN is 0000 ).
6 A factory reset warning will appear. Tap "Yes" to proceed with the factory reset.
7 The TV will power off and when it is powered back on the setup screen will appear.
