What is the Water Resistance Rating of the Galaxy Ring?
Last Update date : 2024-10-20
The Galaxy Ring supports 10ATM* and an IP68** rating for all-day wear, regardless of the conditions.
- 10ATM water resistance classification certification: This rating was tested by submerging the device in fresh water, applying pressure equivalent to 100 m, and leaving it still without any movement for 10 minutes to meet the requirements of ISO 22810:2010.
- IPX8 is based on lab test conditions for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater, leaving it still without any movement for up to 30 minutes to meet the requirements of IEC 60529. It is not recommended for beach or pool use. Rinse residue and dry if wet. The water and dust resistance of the device is not permanent and may diminish over time because of normal wear and tear.
- IP6X dust resistance classification certification: This certification was tested to meet the requirements of IEC 60529.
Note:
- Refrain from activities such as freediving, scuba diving, or participating in fast-moving water sports like jet skiing while wearing your device. Steer clear of swimming in fast-moving waters, such as rivers. Additionally, do not expose the device to high-pressure cleaning machines or similar equipment, as this can create a significant increase in water pressure, potentially altering the water resistance.
- The charging case is not water and dust resistant. As a result, liquids such as water or coffee, as well as other foreign materials like dust, can potentially enter the case. Please exercise caution when using the charging case.
