How to use the ‘screen recording’ feature on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Last Update date : 2024-02-15

Use the Screen Recorder app on Galaxy phones to record your screen rather than a third-party app. Anything that appears on your screen should be captured! Even recording yourself while making the movie is possible using the front camera.

1 Open the Quick settings panel by swiping down from the top of the screen with two fingers. Then, tap Screen recorder.

Note: You may add the Screen recorder icon to the Quick settings panel if it's not already there.

2 Choose your desired option, such as No sound, Media sounds, or Media sounds and mic, and then tap Start recording.
3 Once the countdown finishes or when you press on Skip Countdown, your phone will start recording whatever’s on the screen.
4 Tap the Pause icon to pause recording
5 Tap the Stop icon to save the recording

You can access the screen-recorded videos from the phone ' Gallery > Albums > View All > Screen recordings'.

Note:

  • Phone, VOIP, and video calls cannot be recorded using a screen recorder. Additionally, due to copyright constraints, certain apps could disable the screen recorder capability. By model and software version, some functionalities may or may not be available.
