How to customize your Galaxy phone always on display?
Discover how to activate and personalize the Always On Display (AOD) on your Samsung smartphone, a feature that allows you to check the time, date, missed calls, notifications, and additional information without turning on the screen.
Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version.
What is the Always On Display?
The Always On Display (AOD) setting lets you see key information from your phone on the standby screen. This includes your clock, images, notifications and what music is being played. The AOD allows you to get the information you need without unlocking your phone, saving you time and energy.
If you notice that you do not have an AOD, your AOD settings may be turned off. Conversely, you may want to turn off your AOD in order to save on battery power. Follow the steps below to enable or disable your AOD.
Step 1. Go to Settings.
Step 2. Tap on Lock screen.
Step 3. Toggle the switch beside Always On Display on/off.
Under your Lock Screen Settings, tap on Always On Display. From here, you may adjust how and when you want your AOD to be shown.
Tap to show: With this option the Always On Display feature will appear only when you tap once on the screen.
Show always: With this option the Always On Display feature will appear Always when the device is locked.
Show as scheduled: With this option the Always On Display feature will appear Always depending on the schedule set. To set your preferred schedule, tap on Show as scheduled, then select the time you want it to appear.
Note: AOD is turned on by default, but if it has been disabled, you will need to turn it on to access its settings. AOD is not available when a Power saving mode is turned on.
Step 1. Go to Settings.
Step 2. Scroll to Lock screen
Step 3. Tap on Clock Style.
Step 4. Tap on Always on Display.
Customization
Here you can customize your clock design.
You can choose between a digital clock, an analogue clock, or a mix between a clock and other widgets.
Or you can choose a picture from your gallery, choose from the various themes, or add your favorite GIF by tapping on the picture icon.
