What to do if your washing machine leaks?

Water leaks from the washing machine are almost always related to controllable circumstances that are easily remedied. If the leakage area was a Drum, door, drain pump, etc. To figure out what is causing this, you should:

1 Ensure that your washer is level.

If needed, adjust its leveling legs so it's not wobbly or lopsided.

2 Avoid overloading the washer with too much clothing.
3 Check the water supply hose and its connections.

If anything is damaged, you'll need to replace it and make sure the drain hose is properly inserted and secured.

Note: A loose or incorrectly installed hose could be the source of the leak.

4 Make sure the drain hose is suspended at least 18 inches high but no higher than 96 inches.
1 Check for any foreign objects on the door gasket or the door glass:

Step 1. Open the washer door (Main door / Add wash door)

Step 2. Use a damp towel or microfiber cloth & wipe the door gasket & door glass to remove the foreign objects.

Step 3. Using a damp towel or microfiber cloth, clean the wash door & gasket. 

2 Check if any laundry is stuck between the door & gasket:
  • Insert the laundry into the washing machine completely so that it does not get caught in the door.
  • If laundry gets caught in the door, it may result in damage to the laundry or the washing machine or a water leak.

Water leaks at detergent drawer during washing or rinsing cycle can be due to following factors:


• High water pressure
• Foreign materials in detergent drawer
• Non-High Efficiency (HE) detergent - (Non Low Suds Detergent)
• Hose drawer tub blocked

1 While holding down the release lever (A) on the inner of the drawer, slide open the drawer.

2 Clean the drawer components in flowing water using a soft brush.

3 Clean the drawer recess using a bottle brush to remove detergent residues.

4 Reinsert the release lever and the liquid detergent container to the drawer and slide the drawer inward to close it.
