No audio in HDMI mode using DVI-HDMI cable

If the input signal is DVI RGB signal through an HDMI conversion cable, there is no digital sound data, you cannot hear any sound.

A DVI connection does not carry any sound data. You should connect an audio cable to the appropriate input jack for a separate audio channel.
