Before using Samsung Wallet, it is important that you configure it to your liking, taking into account the features of your device and your needs.

Different screens of Samsung Wallet setup.

If you have a supported device, Samsung Wallet should already be installed on your phone. If not, please check if your phone has the latest software installed by checking the “Settings” menu of your device.

To setup your Samsung Wallet, follow these steps:

1 Open Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet app, and then tap Continue. Update the app to the latest version, when prompted.
2 You will be asked to sign into your Samsung Account. If you do not have a Samsung account, you can create an account through Samsung Wallet. Once you have logged into your Samsung Account, tap the “Start” button, read and agree to the terms and conditions, and then click the “Next” button.
3 You will need to set up a verification method for your usage of Samsung Wallet. You can use the iris scanner (if your phone has one), the fingerprint reader, or the PIN option.

Please note: If you choose iris or fingerprint verification, the app will also require you to set up a PIN as a backup.

4 Create a 4-digit Samsung Wallet PIN.
5 Samsung Wallet setup is now complete. If this your first time using Samsung Wallet, tap on “Add card” and start adding your credit or debit cards. If you had previously registered any cards with Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet, open the “Menu” tab and tap on “Payment cards” and you can activate any of the cards to start making payments
