Why Sound bar switches-off on its own?

You may encounter a situation when your Samsung Sound bar turns off or stops transferring the audio. It happens when your Sound bar connected to your display device kept idle for certain period of time.

Why Sound bar switches-off on its own ?

The below mentioned are the situations when your Samsung Sound bar turns off :

1 The Sound bar will turn off automatically if there is no audio signal for 20 minutes in BD/TV/USB/HDMI/ARC/D.IN modes.
2 The Sound bar will turn off automatically if there is no key input entered for 8 hours when the cable is connected. In other words, if you are using the Aux input and none of the buttons are pressed, the Sound bar will turn off
3 The Sound bar will turn off automatically if the Aux cable is disconnected for 20 minutes

NOTE : ARC is activated in the D-IN mode. To turn off ARC you must disable Anynet.

To Solve, Please follow below steps:

1 Turn on your Soundbar and change the source to AUX then Press and hold the play/pause button for 5-7 seconds. Release the button when you see the Soundbar display start scrolling 'On - Auto Power Down'

Note: If display didn't show the expected text then unplug the soundbar for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

2 The display will now show 'Off - Auto Power Down'
