Gear VR - Use Bluetooth to Pair a Smartphone and the Gear VR with Controller (SM-R325)
To use the controller, it must be paired with your mobile device. You can pair the controller through your phone's Bluetooth menu. This is a quick and easy process unless you forget to put batteries in the controller. So don't forget the batteries!

1. From the Home screen of your mobile device, navigate to the Apps screen.
2. Touch Connections.
3. Touch Bluetooth.
4. To enable Bluetooth, touch the slider.
5. To enter pairing mode on the controller, press and hold the Home button on the controller.
6. From your mobile device's Bluetooth menu, touch Gear VR Controller.
7. Touch ACCEPT.
8. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the controller.
