Control Your TV with your Phone Using the SmartThings App

Have you ever sat down to watch TV but can’t find the remote? By using your mobile, all is not lost. You can check whether your Samsung TV model is compatible by heading to the SmartThings page.  With SmartThings, you are able to change the channel, adjust the volume, change sources and everything else you would normally do with your remote control.

Note: Ensure to first Connect the SmartThings App to your Samsung TV then follow the steps below to learn how to control your TV using the SmartThings app.

1 Open the SmartThings app on your phone. Ensure that your TV is already Connected to the SmartThings App

2 With your TV turned on, tap on your TV tile in the SmartThings app

3 You can access features such as SmartThings app icon Source & Apps and Ambient mode icon Ambient Mode. Tap on Remote icon Remote on the bottom right to view the remote

4 You can tap on the SmartThings app icon horizontal bars of the remote to open the remote up in full screen. Swipe from left to right in the bottom panel to access different buttons. To adjust the volume of your TV, simply press the volume up/down buttons of your phone
